In the first six months, Vietnamese exports were the target of 252 trade remedy investigations from 24 markets, a 9% increase of 21 cases compared to the same period in 2023.

Vietnam's exports to the EU accounted for only 2% of the bloc's total imports of US$2.5 billion annually.

The domestic sector has been a key contribution to the country’s trade surplus of $1.39 billion during the first month of the year.

The figure places phones and accessories as Vietnam’s export items with the highest earnings in 2021.

Assuming Vietnam keeps the current pace of trading growth, the turnover could set a new record and exceed the $700-billion mark in 2022.
