Vietnam would be the third-largest rice exporter in 2022, behind India and Thailand, with shipments of around 6.4 million tons.

Such positive results come from the sector’s restructuring process that aims to meet the demands from export markets.

Vietnam is expected to export more than six million tons of rice this year.

This special shipment will be delivered to Malaysia and Singapore, those among Vietnam’s top 10 rice buyers.

Vietnam has a great opportunity to surpass Thailand in rice export this year.

From May 1, the country’s rice exports will be resumed as normal without quota.
