Over eight months, the country exported nearly six million tons of rice, generating revenue of nearly US$3.2 billion, up 21% and 35% year-on-year, respectively.

The fact that Ong Cua ST25 rice is being distributed in the UK market shows the quality and status of Vietnamese rice on the global market.

The ASEAN, with a population of nearly 700 million and similarities in culture and lifestyle, is a key market for Vietnam’s farm produce, including rice.

Vietnam would be the third-largest rice exporter in 2022, behind India and Thailand, with shipments of around 6.4 million tons.
