The beauty of Tram Pagoda

Tram Pagoda was built in the 16th century, with many old trees radiating shade, bringing freshness and coolness all year round to the holy space.

Tram Pagoda is located in the precincts of Tram Mountain, next to the beautiful Day River. Tram Mountain is not only well-known for charming natural scenery, but also famous for many relics and pagodas which bear spiritual meaning and aged-old history.

Pilgrims from different regions of the country visit Tram Pagoda in the cave.

Tram Pagoda was built in the 16th century, with many old trees radiating shade, bringing freshness and coolness all year round to the holy space. Right to the right of the pagoda is Long Tien cave (also known as Tram cave). In the centre of the cave is the Buddha altar surrounded by large and small Buddha statues.

The cave attracts visitors from all parts of the country.

Tram Pagoda is also known for a historical event during the war against the French. On December 19, 1946, the national resistance war broke out. Only one day after December 20, 1946 here, Radio Voice of Vietnam issued President Ho Chi Minh's call for national resistance.

Many altars of Bodhisattva and Gods are placed in the cave.

Because of those historical vestiges, along with unique and long-standing architecture, the Tram pagoda complex has been recognized by the State as a national historical and cultural relic in 1962. At weekends, there are hundreds of Buddhists coming to visit the pagoda. It is a cultural and historical site attracting more and more tourists from near and far, at home and abroad to contemplate.
