Three key targets in protecting Hanoi enviroment

They are included in Resolution no 11- NQ/TU of Hanoi Party Committee.

Those targets were stated in the online meeting to carry out Plan 160/KH-UBND about “Enhance environment protection in Hanoi by 2020 and the following years” on today. Director of Hanoi Resource-Environment Department Nguyen Trong Dong said, despite of rising concern, the achievement in protecting Hanoi environment hasn’t meet the expected requirement.

According to Hanoi’s Party Committee, there is limitation in management potency and effect, especially of managing, exploiting, using nature resources.
The air and water pollution are rising, affect negatively to habitat and living zone of Hanoi, without much improvement in socialization.
To protect Hanoi environment more effectively, Hanoi’s Party Committee released the Resolution with 3 key targets confirmed in protecting Hanoi environment by 2020 and the following years.
First target is to protect surface water, use sustainably water resource, and manage sewage dumping source, improve polluted, drained lakes; along with build new regulation lake and protect Hanoi architecture, landscape and environment.
The second one is to manage effectively solid sewage, ease air and sound pollution especially in Hanoi’s suburb area.
The Resolution no 11 also lists out 4 solutions to complete important targets in protecting Hanoi environment. Those are reinforcing leadership, direction of the Committee, improving effectiveness and potency of state administrative in protecting environment.  
Besides, it’s essential to strengthen propaganda, promote awareness of protecting environment and nature resource, step up inspecting and controlling the environment; in time find out and take serious measure with violations.   
Hanoi’s Party Committee and Hanoi’s People Committee also set in mind the importance of labor force, capital force to invest in infrastructure of environment.
