Vietnam enterprises to actively penetrate Chinese market

On June 12, in the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung attended and made speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth China-South Asia Expo and the 24th Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair.

The event drew the attendance of Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, and the Nepali President, Lao and Cambodian Deputy PM.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the Fair and the fourth China-South Asia Fair, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung
 said the regionally important fairs contributed to consolidating mutual understanding and promoting the comprehensive ties among China and South and Southeast Asian countries; spurring cooperation on trade, investment, infrastructure building, finance, tourism, transport, and environmental protection.

Over the past years, Vietnam has proactively participated in the large-scale fairs. In 2016, as the main guest, Vietnam had 280 booths showcasing prestigious products on furniture, beverage, footwear, food, and agricultural products.

Being one of the six emerging economies with the highest growth rate in 2015 and a market of 92 million people, Vietnam has continuously promoted economic, trade and investment cooperation with China and other regional nations, Mr. Dung said. 

Vietnam, said the Deputy PM, is willing to shake hands with Yunnan province to develop sustainable growth in the Mekong sub-region, especially in education, training, science, technology, especially border trade. Finally, the Deputy PM called on China to create more favorable conditions for the transportation and import of Vietnamese goods, especially agro-forestry-fisheries products, in order to improve bilateral trade balance. The two fairs, co-organized by the Chinese Ministry of Trade and the Yunnan province, attracted 4,000 enterprises from 80 countries and territories in South Asia and Southeast Asia and more than 8,000 booths.

The fourth China-South Asia Expo and the 24th Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair annually co-organized by Ministry of Commerce of China and Yunnan Province in the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. This is an event of economic significance, the most important political southwestern China, the Chinese government focused on investment. This year, the fair has 6,000 booths scale, with the participation of over 30 countries and territories with Chinese enterprises.

For Vietnam enterprises, this is an international trade event of large scale, with significant and practical benefits, is a good opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam to international tourists, the countries in the region, while enhancing trade promotion activities between Vietnam and China, ASEAN, South Asia in general and China's Yunnan Province in particular.
