The ‘organic and nature village’ area will be specially designed for the purpose. “We want to demonstrate an organic, natural, clean, and traditional Vietnam,” says Vu Kim Hanh, president of the High Quality Vietnamese Product Business Association.
Among other quality Vietnamese foods at the event will be products of geographical indication such as Phu Quoc fish sauce, Binh Thuan dragon fruit, lychees, Quang Tri pepper, Binh Phuoc cashew nuts, Ben Tre coconuts and grapefruit, and Dong Thap lotus.
The Vietnamese delegation will also host a ‘cooking show’ program conducted by Artisan Bui Thi Suong and the Vietnam Culinary Conservation, Research and Development Centre, who will present a guide on how to cook more than 10 Vietnamese dishes.
ThaiFex 2018 is expected to draw more than 2,500 exhibitors from 40 countries and around 60,000 visitors from around the world (up 10% compared to the figures of 2017).
