Vietnam’s top 100 sustainable enterprises in 2018 honored

Vietnam has also the most energy-efficient access indicator in the region, surpassing the Philippines and currently the 4th largest in the ASEAN region.
The top 100 sustainable enterprises in 2018 has recently been announced by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
Leading the list of top 100 sustainable enterprises in 2018 are Nova Real Estate Investment JSC, Thu Duc Housing Development Corporation, Swiss Post Solution Ltd.Co, Tin Nghia Corporation, Sai Gon Thuong Tin Real Estate JSC, Bao Viet Securities JSC, LDG Investment JSC, Loscam Vietnam Ltd.Co, Vietnam Cattle JSC, Amway Vietnam Ltd.Co, Lee & Man Paper Vietnam Ltd.Co, Prudential Vietnam Insurance Company, the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), among others.
VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc said that VCCI's corporate sustainability index (CSI) will strengthen businesses, help them enhance their reputation, thereby attracting more investment capital.
Vietnam has also obtained the most energy-efficient access indicator in the region, surpassing the Philippines and currently the 4th most efficient in terms of power consumption in ASEAN. Regarding the number of procedures and time of implementation of the electricity sector, Vietnam ranks second in the ASEAN region, Loc added.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue appreciated the VCCI's initiative in coordinating with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to build the CSI with 131 indicators for annual awards and honors for outstanding businesses in sustainable development.
Hue urged the Vietnamese business community not to distinguish small or large enterprises, domestic or FDI enterprises, state-owned or private enterprises and hold hands together for the sake of sustainable development.
