Why does Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC mean to regional countries?

ITAP provides a regional platform for leading manufacturers and technology suppliers in the region which is transforming in the digitalization push.

Senior experts and organizers of Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) 2019 have highlighted the importance of engagement for Industry 4.0 among businesses in the Asia-Pacific, mostly those in Southeast Asia which is considered an emerging manufacturing hub.

German Ambassador to Singapore Ulrich Sante stressed the necessity of accessing to data, saying that it is essential in giving economies a chance to participate in investing for the transformation toward Industry 4.0. As a result, if this is not managed well, this could lead to the further separation of very developed countries and countries that are less and less developed, he noted.

Firm background

Indeed, the Asia-Pacific region has surged ahead of the global average in the digitalization push, a survey of some 2,000 companies in 2016 conducted by PWC showed.

Asia Pacific companies were also the most optimistic of the potential gains from the advent of advanced manufacturing, with 68% expecting efficiency gains of more than 20% over the next five years.

Experts said ITAP provides a regional platform for leading manufacturers and technology suppliers to showcase and discover cutting-edge technologies, identify potential partners for co-innovation, and convenes industry leaders to share success stories and best practices in Asia for global adoption.

Companies and organizations in the region are pushing beyond merely digitizing their existing business and into reinventing entire industries with new ways of creating value.

ITAP will partly help companies overcome these challenges and reinvent their industry.

HANNOVER MESSE started in 1947 post-war Germany, as part of efforts to help the country recover from the war.

Over the past 70 years, HANNOVER MESSE has grown to become the world’s leading industrial tradeshow and largest capital goods exhibition covering the whole spectrum of industries, from energy and chemicals to automation and Information technology. The 2017 edition of the event attracted 225,000 attendees from more than 70 countries, with over 75,000 attendees coming from abroad.

ITAP is the only trade show in the Asia-Pacific region providing full coverage of the opportunities and challenges of industrial transformation.
