Phu Tho builds Hung Vuong Tower to promote ancestral heritage

Hung Vuong Tower is expected to be a defining feature of Viet Tri City, aiming to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the region.

THE HANOI TIMES — The northern province of Phu Tho plans to build the Hung Vuong Tower, a landmark to honor the legacy of the Hung Kings and promote patriotism and national unity.

This construction is one of the six key initiatives outlined in the master plan for preserving and promoting the value of the Hung Temple Historical Site, approved by the prime minister.

Hung Vuong Tower, funded by a combination of government budgets, private investment and other legal financial sources, will be built at the former central market in Viet Tri City.

Capturing the cultural and historical essence of the era of the Hung Kings, the tower's architecture will embody the symbolic identity of Phu Tho Province, while playing a key role in transforming Viet Tri City into a festival town, strengthening the bond between the Vietnamese people and their heritage.

Hung Vuong Tower will be built to honor the contributions of the Hung Kings to the founding of the nation. This tower symbolizes Vietnam's enduring history and serves as a reminder of the country's efforts to build and protect the nation.

Beyond its historical significance, Hung Vuong Tower will serve as both an architectural tribute and a dynamic cultural center, with exhibition spaces showcasing historical artifacts from across Vietnam, while incorporating public services, cultural areas, and green landscapes to enhance the urban environment and benefit the community in the long term.

The final proposal will be submitted to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee for approval before June 30.

In preparation for the tower's development, the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee has already held seminars to gather expert insights on the project and design competitions to select the most outstanding architectural proposals for the tower.
