The annual large-scale event displayed outstanding products and services of China and ASEAN including agro-forestry-fishery products, processed food, electric and electronic devices, wood products, handicrafts and consumer goods.

As the honorary country of the event, Viet Nam will run its national booth with the theme “Beautiful City”, introducing the cradle of Vietnamese coffee, Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

Speaking at the press briefing ahead of the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said Viet Nam this year continues to send the biggest number of enterprises to CAEXPO among the 10 ASEAN nations.

Participating Vietnamese enterprises are prestigious firms holding national trade brands. They hoped to penetrate deeply into the Chinese market, not only in such border provinces as Nanning, the Deputy Minister affirmed.

The firms will display their goods, including agro-forestry-fishery products, processed food, electric and electronic devices, wood products, handicrafts and consumer goods at 237 booths, covering over 5,000 square metres.

In particular, Vietnam, as the honorary country of the event, will run its national booth with the theme “Beautiful City”, introducing the cradle of Vietnamese coffee, Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

Speaking at the press briefing ahead of the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said Vietnam this year continues to send the biggest number of businesses to CAEXPO among the 10 ASEAN nations.

Many of the participating firms this year are prestigious ones with the plans to expand their foothold in the giant Chinese market, starting from the border areas such as Yunnan and Guangxi, according to Hai.

As the honorary country at the 13th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2016), Vietnam will also join host China in chairing various activities marking the 25th founding anniversary of the ASEAN-China dialogue relationship.

Vietnam is joining the 2016 ASEAN-China Expo (CAEXPO) as the Country of Honor, which offers the Southeast Asian country opportunities to attract the attention from international partners and expand its markets.

As the Country of Honor, Vietnam and China will co-chair activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN-China dialogue partnership, which helps affirm the status and role of Viet Nam in the relations between ASEAN and China.

This year, the Vietnamese National Pavilion of “City of Charm” will introduce the culture of the Central Highlands as well as stories of Vietnamese coffee. The pavilion, with the participation of 137 businesses from 19 localities nationwide will present their products at 237 stalls on the area of more than 5,000 meter square.

The CAEXPO, a trade, investment and tourism promotion event, aims to strengthen connectivity in the region, exploit advantages of the ASEAN–China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) and enhance exports of Vietnamese goods and services to China and ASEAN.
