Hanoi takes solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles for socio-economic development

The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Announcements on stating the conclusion of Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung on taking solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles for socio-economic development in districts.

Under the Announcements, in terms of deploying missions in 2018, the districts should focus on following the directions of the Central, the Government, the Municipal Party Committee – the People’s Council – the People’s Committee to synchronously take many solutions to successfully complete the socio-economic development missions in 2018.

In terms of agricultural development and new style rural area building, the districts should strengthen economic restructuring in accordance with resolutions of the district Party Committee’s congress; make the agricultural planning towards building concentrated production areas; build agro-product processing factory in the area; focus on restructuring the agricultural sector, especially hi-tech applications to create high value products.
Furthermore, the districts will pay attention to asking the two remaining communes to finish the building of new style rural areas in 2018; developing craft villages, industrial clusters and encouraging the expansion of production scale and hi-tech applications; enhancing connections among households to improve their competitiveness; combining agriculture and tourism and taking advantages of historical, cultural relic sites to strengthen tourism and commercial services.
In terms of clean water, the Department of Construction will take prime responsibility and coordinate with relevant units to review and monitor the progress of building clean water supply stations in the area so as to make sure that 100% of rural population will have clean water by 2020.
Besides, the districts will re-organize public service delivery units and specialized agencies, collectives, especially in the healthcare sector; review all public administrative procedures to reduce progresses and procedures; carry out the city’s two codes of conducts.
The Department of Planning and Architecture will take prime responsibility and coordinate with the Hanoi Urban Planning Institute and the district People’s Committee to make the general plan of Phuc Tho and immediately approve the plan on Cam Dinh - Hiep Thuan ecological zone; give a report to the Municipal People’s Committee in April, 2018.
In terms of land management and environment, the districts People’s Committee is assigned to make specific programs and plans; coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and finish the granting of land use right certificates for people; tighten the management and combat illegal sand mining activities on the Red River; coordinate with the Department of Construction and the Hanoi Sewage and Drainage Company to treat water pollution in ponds, lakes and craft villages; ensure environmental sanitation in the district.
The districts People’s Committee continues to well implement preferential policies for revolutionary contributors and policy beneficiary families; focus on building and repairing houses for the poor; provide loans to the poor to develop their production and escape from poverty.
The districts People’s Committee will create favorable conditions for investors to fulfill the target of clean water supply in August, 2018; strengthen the popularization of clean water use among local people and make sure that 100% of population will have clean water by 2020.
