Hanoi to honor key industrial products for 2025

The recognition of key industrial products highlights the city government’s ongoing support for local businesses, fostering innovation and market expansion.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi will hold a ceremony later this year to recognize key industrial products for 2025 as part of the city's latest development plan on high-quality, market-ready products with an aim to boost production and trade promotion.

All industrial facilities in Hanoi are eligible to participate in the recognition, and products will be judged according to four criteria: industrial or handicraft production by the applying facility, compliance with intellectual property and quality standards, mass production capability, and suitability for market demand.

Categories include handicrafts, processed agricultural and food products, machinery and equipment, and other rural industrial products.

According to the plan, the selection council will evaluate the entries in October and submit final recommendations to the Hanoi People's Committee for official recognition.

In 2024, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade certified 36 key industrial products from 25 enterprises, of which 10 are among the city's top 10 industrial products. Revenue from these key industrial products reached nearly VND50 trillion (US$1.97 billion), with export turnover approaching US$1 billion.
