iHaNoi app designed to help authorities better communicate with the public

iHaNoi is expected to contribute to the perfection of digital platforms, help provide digital services to a wider range of citizens and businesses, and make administrative procedures even more convenient.

The main objective of the Hanoi government's digital transformation is to use technology to facilitate communication among government agencies and citizens and businesses in the capital.

This objective is the driving force behind the launch of iHaNoi, one of the four applications under the government's Scheme 06, which will be unveiled in Hanoi on June 28.

The iHaNoi interface.

Other applications include the electronic health record system on the VNeID app, the issuance of criminal record certificates on the VNeID app, and the e-cabinet information system integrated with smart meeting rooms.

The iHanoi app will allow citizens and businesses to interact online with various levels of the Hanoi government.

Key features include the ability to submit feedback and thoughts on a wide range of issues, which will help the Government to better understand and respond to people's concerns.

The app also allows users to provide feedback on government processes and public services.

Through these innovative digital solutions, the city government aims to strengthen the link between government and the community, making government services more accessible and responsive to the needs of citizens and businesses.

Businesses and organizations will be able to use the app to submit their recommendations and concerns about any issues or obstacles they face when investing, producing and doing business in the city, and receive timely responses and solutions from the authorities.

Furthermore, citizens can now create and submit online appointment requests for face-to-face meetings with local government officials, avoiding the need to physically go to the public offices to submit the request. In addition, the 'Information Alerts' section of the application provides the latest updates and official notifications from the municipality.

The launch of the iHaNoi application has generated interest and high expectations among citizens and businesses.

"We often face challenges related to taxation, business registration and intellectual property. If the concerns we raise through the app can be addressed in a reasonable and timely manner, it would be really useful for us," said Nguyen Van Toan, Director of Home Company, a real estate company.

Ho Thi Phuong Anh, Director of Vien Minh Service Trading Production JSC, was equally enthusiastic about the ability of businesses to interact directly with the authorities through the online platform. It will be more convenient, save travel time and provide more transparent information, she said.
She also emphasized how crucial it is to offer comments on the problems brought up, since doing so will motivate users and companies to actively use the app.

Echoing these sentiments, Nguyen Manh Hung, director of a communications company, stressed the need to focus on the interactivity of the app. "We need to ensure that users feel it is 'live' - meaning that when I submit a concern, I will receive a prompt response that assures me that my input will be heard and addressed in a timely manner," he told Tuoi tre Thu do newspaper.

Tran Thi Thu Hien, a resident of Hanoi's Cau Giay District, noted that the app embodies positive changes in the city's administrative reform and digital transformation efforts.

She believes that with continued innovative efforts and the support of technology, communication between the government and citizens will become more seamless.

"It is amazing how inventive the city has used the app. We can use this app to report directly on pressing public issues such as illegal dumping, breaches of urban safety, and traffic offenses. Done right, this could become the 'eye of the city'," she said.

With other applications being deployed, iHaNoi is expected to help perfect digital platforms, extend digital services to every citizen and business, and make administrative procedures even more convenient. At the same time, it will drive Hanoi's overall digital transformation.
