Upcoming Vietnam ICT Summit 2017

The Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 conference is scheduled to take place on September 6 with the theme: “Vietnam: Digital Transformation in Industry 4.0.”

 
Organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA), the 7th Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 conference will be held in Hanoi on September 6th, 2017 with the main theme “Vietnam: Digital Transformation in Industry 4.0”. The Summit gathers over 500 senior government leaders, ministries, provincial leaders, business enterprises, IT-application enterprises, experts and media. 

The Prime Minister has issued Directive No. 16/CT-TTg, assigning to ministries, central agencies and local authorities to implement important resolutions so as to improve the capacity of Vietnam towards reaching the 4.0 revolution. That goal is the reason why VINASA chose the topic of digital transformation in Industry 4.0 for the 2017 conference.

Four main topics will be discussed at the conference such as : ”Awareness of Vietnam 4.0”, discussing the strategy for Vietnam to access the technological revolution 4.0 and essential conditions to realize this strategy; “Advantage of Vietnam’s Digital Economy – Digital Industry, Smart Agriculture, Smart Tourism” focuses on 03 aspects of digital economic, which Vietnam has the advantage to have breakthrough in technological revolution 4.0; “Smart city” discusses criteria and standards for smart city, as well as challenges, solutions and efficient approach for cities in Vietnam to solve socio-economic issues during the urbanization process in the context of technological revolution 4.0; “Digital Human Resource, Innovation and start-up” analyzes on the future works and necessary skills to prepare for human resources; building creative start-up ecosystem.

With the objective of thoroughly identifying the industrial revolution 4.0, Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 not only raise macro issues which are related to the future strategy, but also go deep into some key specific aspects, so that along with experts, policy makers can discuss, share view points toward the development of digital strategy, contributing to the country development.

In particular, it is expected that the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend and give a speech at this summit. Speakers at the summit are leading experts in fields of economics, technology such as Dr. Mai Liem Truc, Assoc. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Assoc. Dr. Tran Van Nhung, Assoc. Dr. Truong Gia Binh, along with leaders of big technological corporation such as Viettel, FPT, Microsoft, MISA, VNPT, CISCO, VNG, Shopee.
