Vibrant night tour at Hanoi’s iconic tourist site

The newly launched night tour at the Temple of Literature has delighted local and international visitors to Hanoi City.

The night tour entitled "The Quintessence of Education" at the Temple of Literature has been heavily marketed to domestic and foreign tourists by the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

According to Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities, Temple of Literature, the tour uses modern 3D mapping technology to tell stories about Confucianism and Vietnam's history and sages through strong visuals.

"The night tour would give visitors a new perspective that cannot be experienced by visiting the monument during the day," he said.

As night falls, the Literature Pavilion is illuminated with LED lights.

The image of "Ca chep hoa rong" or "Carp Crossing the Dragon Gate" has great significance for Vietnamese people, especially students, symbolizing the desire to rise and the will to persevere.
Visitors will also be able to experience Leap Motion (3D motion control) technology to open large 3D books with content showcasing Vietnamese examinations during the feudal period.
These images tell the life of a Vietnamese feudal valedictorian through his four stages of study since he was a small boy, then a diligent student, an exam candidate; and finally a successful scholar.
According to Tran Phuong Hoa, a tourist to the Relic Site, the night tour is truly a feast of light, sound and emotion, bringing unforgettable impressions to visitors. "This vibrant and colorful night tour not only delights children but also adults, giving visitors to the monument a pleasant and positive experience," she said.
The Gargen Stone Stele is illuminated with LED lights that not only help decorate the space, but also allow visitors to read the contents of the engravings.
Visitors enjoy experiencing virtual reality technology in the Temple of Literature's indoor exhibition space.
The images and documents on display offer a deep insight into the Vietnamese education system and examinations during the feudal period.
