The fair features 450 stands with some 20,000 visitors and participants, including major multinational supermarket chains such as Central Retail, MM Mega Market and e-commerce platforms Amazon and Alibaba.
The fair focuses on key export categories such as food and beverages; agricultural and aquaculture products; wood and handicrafts; textiles, garments, leather goods and handbags; rubber and plastics; electronics and engineering; and other service and support industries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on May 9, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung said that in recent years, many of Vietnam's key exports, including rice, coffee, aquatic products, textiles, electronics, and industrial goods, have effectively utilized their competitive advantages and created high added value for their products. As a result, Vietnam has gradually consolidated its role and position in the international market.
"The fair is one of many initiatives aimed at helping local businesses boost exports," he emphasized.
The fair also hosted a series of business-to-business (B2B) networking activities and the "Enhancing Linkages for Green Exports" forum themed "Elevating Vietnam's Export Position to Meet Green-Clean-Digital Trends".
The forum provides an opportunity for enterprises to discuss with relevant authorities solutions to overcome difficulties and increase trade volume and export value of various sectors.
It will focus on debating the green-clean-digital transitions and offer solutions to strengthen linkages in the industrial-agricultural-trade and services sectors, ensuring the principles of sustainable development to maximize services and move towards green exports, contributing to the gradual economic restructuring according to the circular economy model.
Visitors can buy Vietnamese exports discounted up to 50% and enjoy other attractive programs.
