"Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products" campaign launched in Hanoi

The Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education has recently issued Official Letter 934-CV/BTGTU, requesting relevant agencies and sectors to popularize the "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products" campaign.

Under the letter, in 2017, information work and popularization focuses on increasing people’s awareness and further enhancing implementation of the campaign among agencies at all levels, sectors, organizations, enterprises and people from all walks of life.

 
The Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education compiled document for popularization in the third quarter of 2017. The Hanoi Steering Committee for "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products" campaign directed city’s departments, agencies, sectors, member organizations and Steering Committees for "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products" campaign in districts, suburban districts and towns to popularize the campaign among officers, civil servants, members and all sorts of people in different ways like spreading information through mass media, leaflets, posters and banners, and organizing seminars, workshops, conferences and training sessions.

In an effort to introduce domestic products to consumers, boost trade development and stabilize the market, Hanoi organized Vietnamese Product Fair for Lunar New Year 2017, including five fairs of Vietnamese goods, one Lunar New Year market, 22 markets of Vietnamese goods, five Week of Vietnamese Goods programs, and 190 programs to offer domestic products in suburban districts and industrial zones. The city also cooperated with People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns to organize 60 markets of spring flowers; built project on developing modern and civilized trade and services in Hanoi to 2025, carried out plan on e-commerce development in 2017; completed plan on regional link and trade exchange connection in the field of industry and trade between Hanoi and other cities, provinces; organized Vietnamese Goods Fair, conference on trade exchange and measures to increase the supply-demand connection between Hanoi and cities and provinces in 2017. The steering committees for campaign in districts, suburban districts and towns in cooperation with agencies and enterprises successfully organized fairs and markets of domestic products and flowers, and launched programs to bring domestic goods to remote areas.

According to request of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education, Hanoi Department of Information and Communications shall direct Commissions for Propaganda and Education of Party Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns to urge popularization and information work at grassroots level.
