On the afternoon of September 13th, at the press conference held by Party Committee Propaganda Department, deputy director of the Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that in the city there are 135 stores and 28 trade centers (shopping center) types, meeting the demands of consumers.
According to wholesale and retail plan from now until 2030, there are more 135 commercial supermarkets and 36 shopping centers. In order to fulfill the plan, from 2016 to 2020, commercial centers need about 6,000 billion of investment each year and about 10,000 billion of investment from 2020 to 2030. Mrs Lan said that a huge amount of capital will be mobilized mainly from forms of socialization.
Referring to activities of some traditional markets associated with shopping centers which has not been effective, representatives of Department of Trade and Industry said that together with improving the quality of services, the Department also proposed localities in the more aggressive in the handling of temporary markets. In the coming time, the Department will provide name of places where which temporary market, small markets still exist.
