4,800 projects applied for VIFOTEC award

Hanoi Times – Over the past 15 years, the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) has received 4,800 research projects from people of various walks of live, including children, students, businesspeople, farmers and scientists, said VIFOTEC vice president Dr. Le Xuan Thao.

Speaking at a press conference held in Hanoi o­n December 26, Thao noted that projects winning the VIFOTEC Award have brought in high economic efficiency, thus raising the prestige of the prize.

In addition to selecting projects for the scientific and technological awards, the VIFOTEC Fund has disseminated information o­n scientific and technological knowledge and transferred technology.

The fund has effectively encouraged scientists and talented people to create innovations and contribute to national development.
