A glance at Ho Guom Opera

Ho Guom Opera is equipped with a sophisticated digital signal processor and a world-class loudspeaker system.

The newly built Ho Guom Opera, with the largest stage in Southeast Asia, is a marriage of modernity and tradition.

Located at 40 - 40A Hang Bai Street, just a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Guom Opera completes the arts and entertainment complex in downtown Hanoi.

The theater was built by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Hanoi People's Committee in December 2021 to create a cultural work that fits in with the cultural structures, historical relics, and landscapes around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the modern and international level Opera House includes two auditoriums, one with 900 seats and the other with 500 seats, an exhibition space, a conference and workshop area, and a multi-functional zone, among others.

The Ho Guom Opera has 52 monolithic stone columns, each 18 meters high, were imported from Spain.

The theater uses traditional motifs of Vietnamese culture, such as the Dong Son bronze drums, and ethnic musical instruments.
The Ho Guom Opera’s classical European architecture exudes luxury and splendor.
At the entrance to the stage on both wings and outside the gate, there is a wheelchair lane for the disabled.
The sound system of world-class Array and Constellation speakers delivers clear audio to every seat.
The small auditorium is designed like a blooming flower to spread sound waves.
The Ho Guom Opera will become a venue for both domestic and international artists to perform.
