All people mobilized to protect national sovereignty, border security
PM Nguyen Tan Dung has recently issued a Directive on organizing movements to mobilize all people to participate in protecting national sovereignty and border security in the new context.
Specifically, the People's Committees of all border and coastal provinces and cities are required to coordinate with the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Public Security to organize movements for households and individuals to safeguard the national sovereignty and maintain security and order at border areas.
The Ministry of National Defense is responsible designing and finalizing movements which will be reviewed every ten years.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is tasked to coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense to review population at border communes to facilitate the building of new-style rural areas and guarantee border security and order.
Inferior levels are also asked to speed up education and communication to raise people’s awareness of conspiracies, ruses and activities of hostile forces and criminals.
