All Vietnamese students win medals at Int’l Physics Olympiad 2016

KTĐT - The Vietnamese team participates in the International Physics Olympiad 2016 in Switzerland.

All five Vietnamese students participating in the International Physics Olympiad 2016 in Switzerland bagged medals, including two golds, two silvers and one bronze, according to the information released by the General Department of Education Testing and Accreditation under the Ministry of Education and Training on July 17.

The gold medals were belonged to Dinh Thi Huong Thao, a 12th grader from Nam Dinh province’s Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted, and 11th grader Nguyen The Quynh of Quang Binh province’s Vo Nguyen Giap high school.
Nguyen Quang Nam of the high school for the gifted under the Hanoi National University of Education and Pham Quang Minh from the Hanoi-Amsterdam high school for the gifted won silver medals. Both are 12th graders. 
Meanwhile, Pham Ngoc Nam, a 12th grader of the Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted in Nam Dinh province, bagged the bronze medal. 
Particularly, Thao was also named the “Best Female Asian Pacific Participant” by the Association of Asia-Pacific Physics Societies.
