The contest has been running since January 1 and will go through April 30; it is divided into two rounds. Members of tamtay.vn will be jurors in the first round. Finalists of the first round will enter the second round where their blogs will be examined by professional writers, photographers, cameramen and stage directors.
“Spring and Me” will award contestants VND 50 million in total, the first prize winner will receive VND 15 million.
“We encourage competitors to upload photos, music and video clips,” said Tran Thanh Son, chief organizer.
A similar blog contest was launched in December 2007 by the Information Society magazine.
Tamtay.vn is a social network by ERAS Global, which allows members to design their own blogs and forums. This network began operating in August 2008 and it currently has over 80,000 members.
