During the meeting, PM Dung appreciated his Thai counterpart’s leadership in fostering bilateral labour cooperation, including the granting of licences for Vietnamese labourers in Thailand in December last year. He called on Thailand to cooperate closely with Vietnam in handling issues related to fishermen and fishing vessels in a humanitarian spirit and in line with the friendship and the strategic partnership between the two nations.
PM Dung praised the close supervision of his Thai counterpart Prayuth Chan-ocha on labour cooperation between the two sides and Thailand’s official provision of work permits for Vietnamese guest workers from December 1-30, 2015.
