Celebrating 120 years of Sa Pa tourism: Room and cable car prices reduced by up to 50%

Sa Pa will organize five seasonal festivals: Spring Festival, Summer Festival, Love Festival, Autumn Festival, and Winter Festival throughout the year.

The 120th anniversary of Sa Pa tourism will take place in the northern province of Lao Cai in mid-September 2023, accompanied by a special art program presenting the 120-year journey of Sapa tourism.

To celebrate the anniversary, nearly 100 restaurants, hotels, and travel businesses offer discounts of up to 50% to show gratitude to visitors.

Three to five-star hotels, such as Chau Long, Hotel De La Coupole-Mgallery, Sapa Garden Hotel, and Sapa Paradise Hotel… offer a 12–30% discount on hotel or meal prices.

The Interbus Line bus is free for children under 12 years old. Restaurants such as Huong Rung Sapa, Le Gecko, and BBQ Tra Phuong Quan… apply a 12% discount on the bill for groups of 12 people or more (applicable time from Monday to Thursday).

Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area offers up to 50% discount on cable car tickets for visitors from six northwest provinces and a 15% discount for domestic and international tourists.

Nguyen Duy Thanh, Standing Vice President of the Lao Cai Tourism Association, said gratitude for customers' incentives must always be combined with building new tourism products and “reducing prices but not lowering service quality”.

Sa Pa will organize five seasonal festivals: Spring Festival, Summer Festival, Love Festival, Autumn Festival, and Winter Festival throughout the year.

According to Nguyen Duy Thanh, one of the most eagerly awaited and prepared activities is the International Food Festival, involving nearly 100 domestic and foreign businesses. The delicacies will be imbued with the culture of the ethnic groups living in Sa Pa, including Thang co (simmered horse's meat and offals), sour vegetables, grilled pork, and salmon... Diners can scan QR codes to learn about restaurants and other tourist information.

In the first two months of this year, Sa Pa welcomed 534,690 domestic and international tourists, three times higher than the same period in 2022.
