Hanoi’s modern press center for SEA Games 31 will attract around 3,000 domestic and international journalists and reporters.

The media center for the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) has been completely renovated and is ready for operation.

SEA Games 31 will be held in Hanoi and 11 nearby localities from May 6 to May 22, with the attendance of around 10,000 athletes and officials from 11 Southeast Asian countries.

This is the second time Vietnam has hosted such an important international sporting event with the last being in 2003. SEA Games 31, themed “For a stronger South East Asia”, will attract around 3,000 domestic and international journalists and reporters.

The media center covers ​​600 square meters and includes all technological conveniences for domestic and international reporters to operate.


 Inside, some 40 tables, six TVs and two giant screens have been installed for reporters and photojournalists.


The Organizing Committee arranged tables, chairs and computers for 200 reporters to operate at the same time.


 High-configuration laptops are also available for reporters.


An International Broadcast Center (IBC) with an area of ​​more than 3,000 square meters is located in front of the press center.


Vietnam Television (VTV) is the home broadcaster in charge of producing live programs for SEA Games 31 at the IBC.


The television equipment system has been installed and is waiting for test run.


 The Media Press Center (MPC) and the IBC for SEA Games 31 will be put into operation on May 9.
