CMS produces the 200,000th computer

Hanoi Times - CMS Computer Company has just announced its manufacturing of its 200,000th computer, which is a laptop CMS Sputnik S7 series.

The company, a member of the CMC Technological Group, held a ceremony to mark the event.

Two years ago, the company organized a similar event to mark the production of its 100,000th computer.

According to Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Industrial Department, the event represents an important milestone for CMS and Vietnam’s hardware industry in general because within o­nly two years, CMS has doubled its computer output and become the first company to produce 200,000 computers bearing a Vietnamese trademark.

CMS targets to occupy 10% of the laptop market in Vietnam by 2010 and ranks in the top three laptop providers in the domestic market.

Also at the event, CMS has been presented with a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for its outstanding achievements in trading and production activities.
