Consulting contract inked for Hanoi’s construction planning

The Hanoi Times - The Ministry of Construction inked this morning a US $6.4-million contract with international joint consultant PPJ o­n planning the construction of Hanoi to 2030 and visions to 2050.

The Hanoi Times - The Ministry of Construction inked this morning a US $6.4-million contract with international joint consultant PPJ o­n planning the construction of Hanoi to 2030 and visions to 2050.

The consultant PPJ, a joint venture of Perkins Eastman (US), Posco E&C and Jina (Republic of Korea), has beaten 12 other bidders to win the contract.


During the implementation of this full-package contract, no price readjustment will be made. After be assessed for the last time in December next year, the project will be submitted to the PM for approval prior to June 2010.


Representatives of PPJ said that they will closely work with all stakeholders to put the contract into reality o­n schedule. They also pledged to conserve Hanoi’s distinctive features.


An appropriate planning scheme is very essential for the future development of the newly-expanded capital city of 6 million residents.

The overall target is to make Hanoi a political, administrative, cultural, educational and economic center of Vietnam, an international trade hub and a green city in the world.
