Five technological transfer contracts worth VND 20 million was signed o­n May 17, right after the opening ceremony of the Red river delta Equipment and Technological Market (Techmart Ha Nam 2008) in Phu Ly City.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee and Ha Noi People’s Committee.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Van Phong stressed that the event was an effective method to boost technological transfer and upgrade as it created opportunities for scientists to introduce their initiatives, enterprises seek for technological solutions that is necessary to help them increase productivity and quality of their products

A total of 875 products, equipment and services have been showcased in 210 stands by over 200 units including universities, centres, enterprises, associations, organisations and individuals. The equipment and services o­n show are focusing in such fields as minerals exploration, mechanical manufacturing, automation, information technology and telecommunications, agricultural, fisheries and forestry products processing and environmental treatment.

The Departments of Science and Technology of localities including Ha Nam, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Haiphong, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Lang Son and Thai Nguyen are also participating in the event.

During the four day event, there will be seminars o­n biotechnology with the development of rural and agricultural development in the Red river delta, presentation o­n intellectual property and quality management system ISO 9001:2000 and an exchange themed Students with scientific studies.
