With this being said, Korea recommended Vietnam to have mechanism for Vietnamese students to be able to learn Korean right in Vietnam instead of having to go to Korea to learn the language in middle school or high school. As such, this will be the foundation for them to study further in Korea. “The idea of bringing Korean teachers to Vietnam to teach Korean receives support from the Korean Embassy. Therefore, the two countries should speed up the process of developing Korean textbook for Vietnamese students” – Mrs. Lee Miyong said.
Responding to the request from the Mrs. Lee Miyong, the Vice Minister of Education & Training Nguyen Huu Do said, in order to facilitate teaching Korean in Vietnam in the coming time, in addition to have Korean textbook, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of the program, the attraction of the textbook contents, as well as to ensure creating jobs for students afterwards.
The Vice Minister of Education & Training expressed his hope that through the Korean Embassy to Vietnam, Korean enterprises operating in Vietnam will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese students and workers to be employed after completing study.
