Located in the heart of the capital, Hoan Kiem embodies the rich cultural heritage and historical traditions of the ancient city.

The Hoan Kiem District People's Committee launched the "Hoan Kiem Cuisine" app on August 15 to enhance tourists' travel and culinary experiences.

At the launch event, Vu Tuan Trung, Head of the District’s Economic Division, said the Hoan Kiem People's Committee, aware that food culture is a key attraction for visitors, has instructed relevant agencies and the district's tourism association to develop a program to promote the district's unique cuisine, including the creation of a food tour map of Hoan Kiem and the development of an app to guide tourists in exploring and enjoying local culinary delights.

The Hoan Kiem Cuisine app is a digital platform designed to help users explore the district's culinary offerings. It features a comprehensive directory of restaurants and eateries, complete with detailed information, pictures, and reviews, making it easy for visitors to find and choose their favorite dishes.

Available for iOS and Android, the app invites tourists to immerse themselves in the vibrant culinary scene of Hoan Kiem District. Its user-friendly design makes it easy for visitors to discover and locate their favorite dishes.

Users can explore a variety of categories, including pho, buns, congee, rice dishes, hotpot, coffee, snacks, and late-night options. They can also search by restaurant type, from European cuisine to Asian dishes and even Michelin-recognized establishments.

Once they find a dish or restaurant piques their interest, visitors can seamlessly connect and place orders directly through the app, making their dining experience hassle-free and enjoyable.

Hoan Kiem officials hope that by giving visitors an easy way to browse, order, and eat local food, the app will boost tourism and the local cultural sector.

Secretary of the Hoan Kiem District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council, Vu Dang Dinh, joined artisans to taste Hoan Kiem cuisine.

Le Thi Minh Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, praised the initiative, saying that the Hoan Kiem Cuisine app will greatly enhance tourism in the district.

She noted that the app is designed with the convenience and needs of both residents and tourists in mind, fostering connections between food producers and the community while promoting local culinary culture to a wider international audience.

Looking ahead, the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association will continue to support the district in highlighting its cultural values and spreading awareness through various media platforms.

The event is also attended by foreign visitors.
