Ha Noi to ensure demand-supply balance of goods for Tet

The city will implement solutions to raise the domestic demand, increasing the total retail volume of goods and turnover of consumer services in the city.

The Hanoi People's Committee has issued the official document No 5643/UBND-KT on ensuring the balance between supply and demand for goods at the end of 2020 and Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays.

Accordingly, departments, agencies, People's Committees of all levels as well as production and business establishments in the city will focus on the organisation of Tet activities, ensuring that people will have a safe, happy and healthy Tet. The holidays will last from February 10 to 16 next year.
The city will also implement solutions to raise the domestic demand, increasing the total retail volume of goods and turnover of consumer services in the city.
The municipal People's Committee asks the People's Committees of districts and towns to closely monitor the production, supply, and prices of essential goods for Tet, especially the supply of pork, to have a plan to ensure the supply and stabilise the market to serve the people at the end of the year and Lunar New Year 2021.
In addition, relevant agencies must monitor the situation of COVID-19 epidemic in the city, promptly update and organise plans to ensure supply and demand of goods effectively to cope with this pandemic.
The People's Committees at all levels will also advertise and mobilise businesses, organisations and individuals to boost production and provide adequate goods to the market and stabilise selling prices.
The relevant departments will inspect slaughterhouses, production, food processing, food and drink shops on streets and markets, fruit shops. Goods trading must ensure quality, food hygiene and safety, and selling at posted prices.
