Deepening Vietnam - Japan strategic partnership

On the afternoon of October 26, at the headquarters of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Saitama`s Mayor (Japan) Kiyoshi Ueda, who was visiting and working in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his pleasure at the developments in the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan; and highlighting achievements in bilateral cooperation between the two countries, that is very practical and effective, bringing not only immediate benefits but also long-term benefits, have strategic significance for both sides of Vietnam and Japan.


Currently, Japan has become investor, trading partner and the leading ODA donor for Vietnam. The consistent policy of Vietnam is going to do its best so that Japan continues to implement a comprehensive and more effective strategic partnership relations between the two countries, extensive sake and the joint development of both Vietnam and Japan.

According to Kiyoshi Ueda, the Japanese enterprises are especially interested in Vietnam market, Vietnam's market is considered one of top priorities in the strategic cooperation in foreign investment alone, especially investments in fields such as manufacturing automotive parts, electronics, optics, food processing, food, etc.

Kiyoshi Ueda expressed that besides the efforts of the provincial government in support Saitama's businesses to boost investment cooperation in Vietnam, Saitama Prefecture also wants to continue to receive the care, support the effectiveness of the Government, the ministries of the two countries for activities to expand investment by Saitama province's enterprises to Vietnam.
