Doan Hung grapefruit won "Golden Brand of Agriculture 2015"

Doan Hung grapefruit has been awarded "Golden Brand of Agriculture 2015" by General Assembly for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam.

Overcoming more than 300 agricultural products from 63 provinces and cities nationwide, Doan Hung grapefruit is selected by scientists, leading experts on agriculture selection as one of the 59 brands of agricultural products with good quality, well-known brand was honored "Golden Brand of Agriculture 2015".


Doan Hung grapefruit specialty is recognized  by the Intellectual Property Department, Ministry of Science and Technology as geographical indications and protected appellation of origin of goods throughout the territory of Vietnam since 2006.

Accordingly, Doan Hung pomelo has become a specialty brand with the name "Doan Hung grapefruit - Taste of Ancestral Land."

The Doan Hung grapefruit is recognized as quality product, high-value use, clean product, ensuring food safety, will contribute to enhance the value of the product on the international market. At the same time, to encourage farmers, scientists, businesses in the province continue to create, enhance productivity and quality of products, efficient consumer products with great value.

To grow grapefruit, improve productivity, design quality, Phu Tho Province and Doan Hung District have many policies to support application of technical measures progress toward rehabilitation, recovery and development sustainable for Doan Hung pomelo specialty.

From now until 2020, Doan Hung district strives planting approximately 400 hectares, making up an area of 1,500ha grapefruit specialties, area harvested over 1.100ha, focusing on the development of 18 communes in the district as Bang Luan, Que Lam, Bang Doan, Chi Dam, Phuc Lai, Tay Coc, Minh Luong, etc.
