Deputy PM Dung welcomed Doosan Group (from the Republic of Korea) for its investment decision in Vietnam in heavy industries which helped increase the rate of locally-produced components and boost industrial sectors, including electricity.

The Vietnamese Government always creates favorable ways for foreign players, including Doosan  Group, to expand footholds in Vietnam, said the host leader. The Deputy PM also urged foreign companies to ensure labor safety, take good care of workers, carry out humanitarian and charity programs, and contribute to Viet Nam’s social welfare policies.

For his part, Director General Jung Yeon In reaffirmed his group’s motto of observing the environmental commitments, standards and regulations in Vie Nam. The guest leader also promised to ensure strict criteria on labor safety and care for workers, he added.

At the reception for the Thai CEO, Deputy PM Dung hailed the cooperative programs between SCG groups and Vietnamese partners in such areas as energy, petroleum, and construction. The host leader reiterated the Vietnamese Government’s determination to offer favorable ways for SCG group to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam. Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopath also vowed to work with Vietnamese agencies and businesses to successfully implement cooperative projects.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said that environmental protection must be the top priority of businesses. He said Vietnam welcomes and creates optimal conditions for foreign firms to do business in the country. However, he noted that overseas firms need to pay attention to protecting the environment and fully implementing commitments and regulations in the field.

The Deputy PM also urged foreign companies to ensure labour safety, take good care of workers, carry out humanitarian and charity programmes, and contribute to Vietnam’s social welfare policies. It also has strict criteria on labour safety and care for workers, he concluded.
