Soaking up Hanoi's atmosphere early in the morning, away from the hustle and bustle, over a cup of coffee has become a hot trend among young people.
It's four o'clock in the morning on a summer's day, a small café on Tong Dan Street in Hanoi's Old Quarter is already packed with young customers waiting in line for coffee as the sun rises.

In no time at all, the outdoor seats are filled.
This seems to be the only café in Hanoi having different opening hours (4am-11pm) from others.
Phuong Thao from Cau Giay District shared that although she had experienced many interesting Hanoi’s night activities, unwinding in a cafe at first light felt like a whole other sensation.
"I have to get up very early and be at the cafe in time to experience this strange and bustling sunrise atmosphere," she said.
Quynh Tien, a traveler from Ho Chi Minh City, was excited. “Enjoying coffee within cool air in an early morning in Hanoi is a truly valuable experience that brings an extreme relaxation and comfort to travelers,” she stated.
"After the coffee, I stroll around and enjoy a delicious breakfast. It's the best way to explore how Hanoi people start their new day," she added.
For visitors to Hanoi and locals alike, watching the serene sunrise while sipping a favourite drink is an exciting experience.
