EU launches project to promote tourism in VN

Equipment of the Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Program, funded by the EU, have been handed over to authorities of Can Tho city and Kien Giang province in the Mekong delta.

The move is part of the project that aims to improve the quality of vocational training in provinces, including Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Dak Lak and An Giang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador - Head of EU Delegation, Franz Jessen hoped that the assistance of the EU will create a favorable condition for launching training courses on tourism.

The project is preceded by the Tourism Human Resources Development Fund, according to Deputy General Director of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Manh Cuong.
