First glass love bridge inaugurates in Moc Chau.
First glass suspension bridge in Moc Chau will open this week.
The inauguration of the bridge comes ahead of a five-day public holiday in Vietnam on the ocassion of the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1).
Located in Dai Yem Waterfall, Moc Chau district, the bridge, named Glass Love Bridge, measures 80 meters long and two meters wide, with 5D technology. It also boasts a photoelectric sensor system and 30 special effects, such as flowers blooming, fish swimming, and heart shapes, etc.
The bridge is designed with the theme of love, with models of hearts and romantic spaces, including a Japanese-style village with cherry blossoms, an ideal place for couples and fans of photography.
Spanning a river and surrounded by immense mountains, hills and forests, the bridge will offer an exotic view resembling a watercolor painting of the Moc Chau Plateau.

Its construction alone cost VND32 - 35 billion (US$1.3-1.5 million) and total costs would amount to VND40 billion (US$1.7 million) if additional structures were taken into account.
The bridge is capable of handling 70 people simultaneously, with the fare costing VND100,000 (US$4.3) per person.
Glass bridges are found around the world and attract millions of tourists each year, such as the cliff-hugging Tianmen Mountain Walkway in Hunan, China, the Aiguille du Midi Skywalk in Chamonix, France, the Glacier Skywalk in Jasper National Park, Canada, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk in Arizona, the US.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a decision approving the planning of the Moc Chau national tourist site in the northern mountainous province of Son La by 2030.
Accordingly, the tourist site will cover a total area of 206,150 hectares in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts, divided into three zones for resorts, eco-tourism and entertainment activities.
The population in the national tourist site is projected to reach about 205,000 by 2020 and 274,500 by 2030. Meanwhile, the number of holidaymakers to the site is set to hit some 1.65 million by 2020 and around 5 million by 2030.
