First round of Robocon VN 2008 kicks off

Hanoi Times – The Robocon Vietnam 2008’s first round for universities and colleges in the North was taken place at the Tay Ho Sport Center (Hanoi) from April 15 to 20.

There are 136 teams participating in the robot contest, in which 18 o­nes are from the Military Technical Academy, 15 from the Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) and 15 from the Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI).

The first round in Central and South Vietnam will be held after the North’s o­ne. The most excellent teams will take part in the final round, which is scheduled from June 2 to 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nearly 300 teams nationwide have registered the Robocon 2008 up to now.
