First technical airplane seminar held in Vietnam

Technical issues related to Airbus A320/A321 aircraft together with solutions to breakdowns to increase flight safety were discussed at the Airbus 320 Family Regional Seminar held in Hanoi from April 6-7.

The seminar, organised in Vietnam for the first time by the global leader in aeronautics Airbus Group in cooperation with the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, drew the participation of 60 managers and technical experts from 35 domestic and Asian-Pacific airlines.
Along with cutting-edge technologies applied in airplane manufacture, a project on Airbus’s new engine option (NEO) A320/A321 jetliner versions were also introduced at the seminar.

According to Gilles de Cevin, Vice President of A320 Programme’s Airbus Customer Services, the seminar brought a golden opportunity for the airlines to discuss and enhance relations.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Chien Thang, head of Vietnam Airlines’ technical department, said that regional carriers exchanged ideas on A320/A321 safety and reliability while fostering cooperation with aircraft producers and suppliers of equipment and aircraft maintenance.
Vietnam Airlines is currently the world’s six largest airline in number of A321 jetliners with 52 units and world’s second operator of Airbus’s all-new A350 XWB.
