Tanifood fruit and vegetable processing plant stretches on an area 15 ha, with an investment of up to VND1,780 billion (US$76.6 million), and was constructed in 18 months. The factory is thought to have the largest processing capacity in Vietnam today and is one of the five most modern technology plants in the Asia-Pacific region.

Equipped with technology 4.0 from Japan and the US, the plant has a production line for fresh fruits and vegetables and heat treatment, a frozen fruit and vegetable line, a line for drying, soft-drying and sublimation drying of fruits and vegetables, and a line for producing condensed fruit juice. The plant is hoped to produce international-standard products for export to the US, the European Union, South Korea, Japan and Australia.

According to Chairman of the Tay Ninh People's Committee Pham Van Tan, Tanifood plant is expected to boost the processing industry of fruits and vegetables and the province's economy.

General Director of the Lavifood JSC Pham Ngo Quoc Thang said that the birth of Tanifood will help increase value of Vietnamese farm produce, and improve incomes of local farmers.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, banks and related agencies should pay attention to support and synchronize policies to facilitate and timely remove difficulties in business operation, the deputy prime minister emphasized.
