Flag raising ceremony in Ba Dinh Square to mark National Day

A flag-raising ceremony was held at Ba Dinh Square on September 2 to mark the 75th anniversary of the National Day and 51 years of President Ho Chi Minh’s passing away.

At 6am every day, the flag-raising ceremony takes place in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

At 5.45am, the company of guards of honor march to the yard in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

The guards march to the music of the song “Advancing under the military flag”.

The national flag flutters in the wind as it flies at the Ba Dinh Square.

The flag-raising ceremony is performed solemnly, in a sacred and respectful atmosphere.

Despite taking place in the early hours of the morning, the ceremony was attended by many people who came to celebrate the National Day in the historic Ba Dinh Square.

Following the completion of the flag raising ritual, the guards return to their posts, signaling the conclusion of the ceremony.

On the morning of September 2, many people attended the flag-raising ceremony on the National Day and wore face masks to prevent the coronavirus.
