Flag-raising ceremony in Hanoi marks National Independence Day

The flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square becomes one of the symbols that every Vietnamese expects to witness once in their life.

The flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, in Hanoi to celebrate Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, always brings sacred and emotional moments to every Vietnamese.

 

The team to perform the flag raising ceremony consisted of 34 soldiers representing the first 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Unit of Liberation Army, the forerunner of the Vietnam People's Army.
