Foreign reporters covering US – North Korea summit to get free tours around northern Vietnam

At least 2,600 international reporters from news agencies around the world, including Reuters, NHK (Japan), AP, AFP, and Yonhap (South Korea) have come to Hanoi to cover the second US – North Korea summit on February 27 and 28.

International reporters covering the second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un will have a chance to enjoy free tours around Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh, according to the information announced by representative of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (VNAT).

Accordingly, they will be able to register for free tours to best destinations in northern Vietnam, including Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh province. The free tours, to be arranged by leading travel agency Saigontourist, is an effort to give Vietnamese tourism a boost.
At least 2,600 international reporters from news agencies around the world, including Reuters, NHK (Japan), AP, AFP, and Yonhap (South Korea) have reached Hanoi to cover the second US – North Korea summit on February 27 and 28.
The host country has the International Media Center (IMC) readied days ago to welcome more than 3,000 international and local reporters covering this event. Located at the Cultural Friendship Palace at No. 91 Tran Hung Dao street, the center will be officially put into operation on February 26.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said work on the media center has been completed after just over one week thanks to the close coordination of ministries and agencies.
He assured the media that with state-of-the-art equipment, the center will allow them to work in the fastest and most effective way. It will be open round-the-clock with dining, working and functional spaces.
