Free gifts, coach tickets for the needy ahead of Tet

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan presented 120 New Year (Tet) gifts to families of war heroes, Agent Orange/dioxin victims and poor students in Giao Thuy district, in the northern province of Nam Dinh on January 30.

He also took the occasion to ask the provincial authorities to do their best for the cause of sustainable poverty reduction.
The same day, nearly 60 coaches departed from Ho Chi Minh City carrying poor students to their native regions and homes, so they can be reunited with their families ahead of the Tet festival.
