Further strengthening Hanoi - Chiang Mai press cooperation

On December 12, at the headquarters of the Journalists Association of Hanoi, Hanoi Journalists Association cordially received the Chiang Mai Provincial Journalists Association (Thailand) to visit and work in Vietnam.

Attending the meeting, there were Mr. To Quang Phan, Chairman of Hanoi Journalist Association, Chief Editor, General Director of Hanoi Radio and Television; Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi Journalists Association, Chief Editor of Economic & Urban Newspaper; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi Journalists Association, Chief Editor of Hanoimoi Newspaper.

The Thailand's journalists union saw the presence of Mr. Amnat Jongyotting, Chairman of Chiang Mai Journalists Association, Executive Committee Member of the National Press Council of Thailand; Ms. Ubonnadda, Director of Thai News Newspaper, Executive Board Member of the National Journalism of Thailand and many representatives of the media authority of the Chiang Mai Province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Amnat Jongyotting thanked the cordial and respectful reception of Hanoi Journalists Association, praised the results of cooperation between the Journalists Associations in recent time, and expressed confidence in great relationship between the two sides, that will grow increasingly and closer.

Mr. Jongyotting also expected that this time's visit and this working group will set the premise of building partnerships to exchange experiences on the work of the press between the Unions and the two countries, that have also developed economy and tourism between Hanoi and Chiang Mai Province, as well as for Vietnam.

Reaffirming the close ties between Hanoi Journalists Association and the Journalists Association of Chiang Mai Province, Mr. To Quang Phan said that this visit will strengthen cooperation relations, at the mean time being an opportunity to share, learn questions, share skills and journalistic style between the two sides.

He shared that Chiang Mai is potential areas for tourism and he committed that members of the Hanoi Journalists Association will enhance communication support for Chiang Mai travel. He also expressed hope that during the visit to Hanoi, the delegation of Thailand journalists will have opportunity to learn more about the country and people of Vietnam, thereby expanding communication operations more effectively for Hanoi.
