Hanoi - A safe, friendly and attractive destination

The information the Hanoi is one of nine cities which are the least unfriendly, commented by famous British newspaper, the Independent, professionals and tourists have voiced to object the comment by the things they saw, heard and experienced, that are completely opposite.

Recently on Independent - a popular British newspaper has released a list of nine cities which are unfriendly in the world, including many famous tourist cities worldwide. The above-mentioned list is based on the opinions of travelling writers, bloggers about the city they went through.

In a list of some unfriendly cities in the world ranked by the Independent, outside Hanoi, there are some other cities like Miami (USA), Prague (Czech Republic) and Macau (China).

However, opposing the negative comments about Hanoi, many readers have expressed their disagreement and said that this ranking and reputation completely rely on the opinions of a few individuals.

Being experienced in tourism activities, and has been to dozens of countries around the world, Director of Hanoitourist Company Luu Duc Ke realized that: "beautiful and appealing landscape must be inseparable from human. A friendly smile, a dedicated caring, easy hospitality that visitors impressed, are reluctant to leave."

However, to make an impression, "pull" visitors back is not simple, but, an impolite gesture and attitude will record a bad impression, even erase all the previous affection. Maybe, who wrote this article had "prejudices" with Hanoi."

Mr. Ke said, compared to other provinces, including domestic and international destinations, Hanoi is not only attractive but also very safe and friendly. Hanoi has proven to be a popular tourist site that Lonely Planet ranked second on the destinations that are "value for money" for most tourists in 2016.

In fact, the image and position of Hanoi is increasingly enhanced in the eyes of tourists and foreign journalists. It is no coincidence that the online travel magazine Smart Travel (most reputable in Asian region) voted Hanoi as one of the 10 most attractive tourist destinations in Asia continuously in recent years.

According to the results of the magazine voted Trip Avisor, Hanoi was ranked the 8th destination in the world in 2016. According to Index ranking of global destinations in 2016 by Mastercard, Hanoi ranked No.13/20 tourist destinations of the world's fastest growing, with at least 1 million visitors stayed overnight.

These remarks, this evaluation was gained through the survey results of millions of travelers worldwide and appreciated by experts.

Desiring that more and more tourists to come and explore the Capital, Director of Hanoi Tourism Department Do Dinh Hong said, to tackle tight guillotine, right from its inception, the Department of Tourism in collaboration with all stakeholders bar, checking from the central to local, especially Hoan Kiem District, where frequent problems affect the tourism image of the Capital.

After handling the incidents affecting tourists, Inspectorate of the Department of Tourism will work with the relevant authorities to take place in the present of those violations to propaganda, mobilization and persuasion. In the spirit that the Capital of Hanoi is friendly, we apply measures of propaganda, advocacy, persuasion, combining with strict sanction. As reported by the Inspectorate of the Department of Tourism, tight guillotine basic condition is almost absent.
