Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Ta Van Tuong said that this is an important event to help businesses and promotion units network and sell safe farm produce, OCOP products and regional specialties nationwide, thus promoting the implementation of the OCOP Program for 2021-2025.

The event also provides an opportunity for OCOP entities in Hanoi and provinces and cities across the country to exchange and enhance trade promotion. This aims to improve the productivity, product quality, and capacity of OCOP units.

Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Head of the Hanoi New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, added that the city currently has more than 2,000 classified OCOP products, accounting for 22% of the country's OCOP products.

Among these products, six five-star products are recognized by the central authority, 12 five-star candidate products, 1,369 four-star products, and 780 three-star products. In terms of sectors, there are 1,372 food products, 47 beverage products, 39 herbal products, 660 handicraft products, 47 fabric and garment products, and two tourism products.

The OCOP program has tapped the potential of agricultural and cottage industry production in the city and has been a catalyst for innovation in production thinking, meeting consumer demand, and driving strong changes in rural economic construction and development.
