Hanoi and Thai Nguyen strengthen cooperation in trade, investment and tourism
The event takes place from April 26 to May 1 in Thai Nguyen City, in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.
The "Industry and Trade - OCOP Thai Nguyen 2024" trade fair and exhibition, part of the "Link to Grow" programme between Hanoi and other provinces, showcased 1,000 high-quality farm produce certified under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.

The fair features 70 booths of units and cooperatives from 34 provinces and cities nationwide.
Residents and tourists had the opportunity to explore the unique cultural traits of Hanoi and Thai Nguyen.
At the event, Hanoi presented an impressive exhibition space divided into three main themes: promoting the city's achievements, investment environment and planning; marketing attractive tourist destinations and traditional craft villages in Hanoi; showcasing the city's key and distinctive products in cooperation with the provinces in the northeast region.
Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of Hanoi Promotion Agency, said that the cooperation between Hanoi and Thai Nguyen has been continuously innovated in terms of substance and methodology and has made a positive contribution to the economic, cultural and social activities of both sides.
"The program contributes to strengthening the link between Hanoi and the Northeast region, serving as a bridge for local units and enterprises to have more opportunities for networking, cooperation and investment," he stressed.
This activity aims to boost cooperation, investment promotion, trade, tourism and agriculture between Hanoi and Thai Nguyen, to stimulate domestic consumption and to effectively implement the "Vietnamese prefer to use Vietnamese products" campaign.
Moreover, the program plays a significant role in promoting tourism and encouraging the growth of cooperation initiatives between Hanoi, the historical capital with a heritage spanning a millennium, and the provinces in the northeastern region. Among these provinces, Thai Nguyen stands out as a land rich in revolutionary traditions as well as in tourism potential and attractive investment sectors.
